Nestled in the heart of Woodman Point in Coogee, Cockburn Power Boats Club offers a breath-taking view of the Cockburn Sound. With stunning sunsets and an unbeatable oceanfront location, our venue is the ultimate spot that is guaranteed to impress your guests.

Our function rooms are open to both members and non-members, and includes a club social membership. The club and all its rooms are accessible to all guests and offer free, ample and secure parking.

Whether it’s a birthday, engagement party, wedding ceremony and reception, anniversaries, corporate events, school social or ball, the club is committed to providing exceptional service and aims to ensure that your function is memorable. You will therefore have access to a dedicated functions coordinator to ensure everything runs smoothly and to your liking.

Function Spaces

Garden Island Room

This is the larger of our first floor spaces. With great Ocean views, a permanent dance floor and private bar the Garden Island room is a great choice for a variety of functions.

Commodores Room

This room is ideal for smaller functions and features a permanent built in dance floor and a balcony that over looks our boat yard.

The First Floor

For larger functions, The First Floor is a combination of the Garden Island and Commodores Rooms. Our glass sliding doors open up to create one large space where you can enjoy all our upstairs level has to offer.

Louise’s Bar

If you’re looking for a more casual environment Louise’s Bar on the ground floor is just what you’re looking for. This unique space has a boating theme and features a private courtyard, bar and BBQ facilities.

I just wanted to say a huge big thank you for all your efforts in making the home school teen ball such a fun night!!! It was my teenage daughters first Ball, she was sceptical about going but had a fantastic time and can’t wait until next year!!! I was one of the volunteers and I had a great time too! I attended a work function at the Cockburn Power Boat Association venue in July 2020 and was more than delighted with the spectacular view and the venue generally. Despite giving very little notice, the bookings manager assisted us very competently in the arrangements less than two days out from our function!

The staff were very attentive, but also very aware of giving us lots of space and privacy. The Chef went out of his way to cater for colleagues with very specific dietary requirements which was wonderful. We had a well appointed and amply stocked tea and coffee station throughout the whole day to keep focused and a wonderful lunch as well as morning and afternoon tea. I would definitely recommend the club for both corporate and private functions.

I wanted to say a massive thank you to you and your team for accommodating my family for my father's wake on Thursday. The event was ran perfectly and very professionally. A special thank you to Danica and her offsider for the way they looked after us on the night. My family and guests couldn't of been happier with the venue, the staff and the event as a whole. Once again thankyou all for the compassion you showed my family on what was a tough day. It was very much appreciated.
